The lungs have a dual blood supply:

  • Bronchial arteries
    • Arise from the thoracic aorta and the posterior intercostal arteries to supply the tissues of the lung.
  • Pulmonary circulation

Bronchial veins drain the parenchyma into the pulmonary veins, superior vena
