The central dogma, also known as the central dogma of molecular biology or gene expression, is the flow of genetic information from DNA to RNA to protein. It is also known as gene expression from the genotype (DNA) to the phenotype ( RNA and/or protein).

Steps of Gene Expression

The central dogma has 2 steps

  1. Transcription: the flow of information from the DNA to RNA.
  2. Translation: the flow of information from the RNA to the protein.
