They help the enzyme activity. They can be classified into:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>inorganic (metal ions)<\/li><li>organic compounds (flavin and heme)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<\/span><span class=\"block-heading\" id=\"header_3\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"title_collection title1\">PLP- Vitamin B6 derivative<\/h2>\n<\/span><span class=\"block-content\" id=\"contents_3\">\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PLP- called Pyridoxal phosphate which is a Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) derivative. It has different side chains by which it serves as a prosthetic group for the enzymes like GPT\/GOT.
