Inhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><div class=\"intro\">An <strong>enzyme inhibitor<\/strong> is a molecule that binds to an enzyme and decreases\/demolishes its activity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By binding to enzymes&#8217; active sites or allosteric sites, inhibitors reduce the compatibility of substrate and enzyme and this leads to the inhibition of Enzyme-Substrate complexes&#8217; formation, preventing the production of the product<\/div><\/p>\n\n\n<span class=\"block-heading\" id=\"header_1\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"title_collection title1\">Types of inhibition<\/h2>\n<\/span><span class=\"block-content\" id=\"contents_1\">\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between the inhibition we distinguish: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>reversible<\/li><li>irreversible<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">inhibitions. (Figure 3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The inhibitor usually binds at a site other than the substrate binding site<\/strong>, and its binding can not be reversed by increasing substrate concentration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The inhibitor is able to bind both the free enzyme and the enzyme-substrate complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The noncompetitive inhibitor does not cause any change in K<sub>M<\/sub>, but it decreases the apparent value of V<sub>max<\/sub><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/meddists.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/ENZYME-17.png\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Enzymes III.
