branch<\/li><li>Septal branches<\/li><li><strong>Posterior interventricular<\/strong>:<ul><li><strong>Right dominance<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>67%<\/strong>\u00a0of the people- the\u00a0<strong>posterior descending artery<\/strong>\u00a0is supplied by the<strong>\u00a0right coronary artery<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Left dominance<\/strong>, 10-15% of the people- the\u00a0<strong>posterior descending artery<\/strong>\u00a0is supplied by the\u00a0<strong>circumflex artery<\/strong><\/li><li>The posterior descending artery supplies the myocardium of the<strong>\u00a0posterior 1\/3rd of the interventricular septum<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>\u00a0Right marginal branch \u2014 Supplies the\u00a0right ventricle and apex of the heart<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<\/span><span class=\"block-heading\" id=\"header_4\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"title_collection title2\">Supply<\/h4>\n<\/span><span class=\"block-content\" id=\"contents_4\">\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Generally, the&nbsp;<strong>RCA<\/strong>&nbsp;supplies the following regions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The right atrium<\/li><li>Most of the right ventricle<\/li><li>Part of the left ventricle (the diaphragmatic surface)<\/li><li>Part of the IV septum, usually the posterior third<\/li><li>The<strong>&nbsp;SA node<\/strong>&nbsp;(in 60% of people)<\/li><li>The<strong>&nbsp;AV node<\/strong>&nbsp;(in 80% of people)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<\/span><span class=\"block-heading\" id=\"header_5\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"title_collection title1\">Left coronary artery (LCA)<\/h3>\n<\/span><span class=\"block-content\" id=\"contents_5\">\n\n<\/span><span class=\"block-heading\" id=\"header_6\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"title_collection title2\">Route<\/h4>\n<\/span><span class=\"block-content\" id=\"contents_6\">\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Arises from the left aortic sinus.<\/li><li>Passes between the left auricle and the left side of the pulmonary trunk.<\/li><li>Runs in the coronary sulcus<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<\/span><span class=\"block-heading\" id=\"header_7\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"title_collection title2\">Branches<\/h4>\n<\/span><span class=\"block-content\" id=\"contents_7\">\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Circumflex artery&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014 Left marginal branch and SA branch, supply the&nbsp;left atrium and left ventricle<ul><li>In around&nbsp;<strong>40%<\/strong>&nbsp;of the people, the circumflex branch gives the<strong>&nbsp;sinoatrial branch to supply the SA node.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Left atrial branch<\/li><li>Septal branch<\/li><li><strong>Anterior interventricular branch<\/strong>&nbsp;(in many cardiology departments it called&nbsp;<strong>LAD&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014&nbsp;Left Anterior Descending)<ul><li>Supplies the&nbsp;<strong>right and left ventricles<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>anterior 2\/3rd of the interventricular septum.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Diagonal branch<\/li><li>Posterior interventricular branch \u2014 Exists in 33% of the people<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<\/span><span class=\"block-heading\" id=\"header_8\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"title_collection title2\">Supply<\/h4>\n<\/span><span class=\"block-content\" id=\"contents_8\">\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Generally, the&nbsp;<strong>LCA supplies the following regions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The left
