Prediabetes is a phase in which there is impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) or impaired fasting glucose (IFG), and the glucose values are insufficient for the diagnosis of diabetes.

• Prediabetes can be classified into IGT and IFG.
  • IGT has normal fasting glucose
